Easy, Cheap Dinner

Some of you may already know this, but this was a new experience for me. I bought two whole chickens last week. They were on sale for under $2.00 each and were both about 6.5 pounds. We have a roasting oven, but you can roast them in the oven as well. It took about 1.5 hours to cook them and they were so yummy! And we had lots left over. I made another meal the next night with some of it and froze the rest. I have enough for at least one more meal, maybe two!! That's 3 or 4 dinners for under $4.00!!! So, I plan on looking for whole chickens everytime I shop and buying them on sale. They will freeze well and are a wonderful, cheap meal.
